Furthering the investigation into alleged corrupt practices during the Pakistan Super League second edition, the PCB issued a Notice of Charge to Mohammad Irfan under the anti-corruption code of the PCB's.
"Irfan was charged with two violations of the Code Article 2.4.4 and is now 14 days to respond to the Notice of Charge," said a spokesman for the PCB.
I PCB anti-corruption code 2.4.4 states: "Failure to disclose to the PCB Monitoring and Security Department (without undue delay) full details of any approaches or invitations received by the participant to engage in corrupt conduct under the Anti-Corruption Code."
Irfan has meanwhile been temporarily suspended participation in all aspects of cricket.
"PCB will continue investigations regarding any questionable activity by any player and player support staff as it continues with its mission to eliminate a danger of damage to cricket," the board said in a press release.
Yesterday, Mohammad Irfan appeared in the ACU when he admitted in a statement that his video that he had been contacted by bookies during the tournament.
I Pacer said he informed the PCB about the approach as he had been under mental duress because of the recent death of her parents.
Irfan Islamabad United and Karachi kings Shahzaib Hasan had also been called in for questioning the PCB during the tournament in Dubai last month but the cancellation of the play the rest of their games.
